The weather for this walk was warm and sunny. We arrived in good time, paid our parking fee (£5) and some of us had an icecream! Joan was the leader on this walk, the original walk should have been around 5 miles, but we added a couple of miles at least, making this quite a varied walk. As we looked across from the top of the crags, it was amazing to think that we were going to be walking all the way back along the river. This was a fantastic tricky route, which some of us might not have done, if we'd known what was coming up! As it happens, we all really enjoyed the whole experience, and made this our best walk yet! After, we travelled a short journey to the Stubbings Wharf pub, which has river Wharf flowing past it, and the Rochdale canal above it! This will be one walk we will do again!
